BIOGRAPHY

Ralf Bucher is the Head of H&MV Engineering's EPC operations. His career spans load control optimisation at Voith Siemens Hydro, large-scale transmission projects up to 500 kV AC and DC, and leadership of a 2 GW HVDC interconnector at Tractebel-ENGIE.

Ralf has authored six academic articles and 20 peer-reviewed conference papers on renewable energy and smart grids. Since January 2023, his EPC work at H&MV Engineering has focused on 380 kV grid connections serving hyperscale data centres and GW-scale battery energy storage systems.
